The center of the card is not a number, but instead, a word "free".
This game is played by drawing a random number from 1 to 75. The one who announces the number is known as the caller. If the number called is on the card, then you have to mark it. There is a pattern given at the beginning of the game, and if it happens that the numbers called are present in your card and form the required pattern, you must now yell the word "Bingo!"
Someone will check first if you have the right numbers and pattern before you can get the price. If the pattern or combination is not correct, then the game goes on. Some of the patterns are the blackout, where every numbers in the card should be marked; L, T, Y shape; center cross; and lots more. There is actually 552, 446, 474, 066, 128, 648, 601, 600,000 possible combinations in bingo.
One good thing about this is that you can play it anywhere. Bingo materials such as the card and the numbers drawn are available in stores, so when there's a get together, among friends or families, you can all play this. Since there is no limit of players, everyone can join, and for those new to this, they will not find it difficult to familiarize the rules.
