Fun, Friends, and Money with Bingo Games

Bingo games are the most popular choice for fundraising, particularly, among churches. Bingo halls can be seen not only in casinos but in other places like malls. Bingo games can also be played on a bus trip, picnic, parties, and such. Why has bingo such popularity?

Firstly, bingo games do not require strategies to win. Playing bingo is simple and easy. And all you need is to listen as each drawn number is called out. Then you check if you have the number on your card. If you have a hit, mark the number on your card.

Secondly, bingo games foster social relationships. Bingo halls or parlors, especially in the UK, function not as places for friendly games but also for social gatherings.

There are two popular variant games of bingo: 75-ball bingo and 90-ball bingo.

75-ball bingo is the preferred game in North America and Canada while 90-ball bingo is played popularly in the United Kingdom.

75-ball bingo games are played on a 5x5 grid cards. 24 of these squares are numbered, while the middle square is a free space. The order of distribution of numbers is the following: 1st column may have any 5 numbers from 1 - 15; the 2nd column may have any 5 numbers from 16-30; 3rd column, any 5 numbers from 31-45; 4th column, any 5 from 46-60; and 5th column, any 5 numbers from 61-75.

90-ball bingo games, on the other hand, are played on cards with 3 rows and 9 columns on its face. Every row has only five spaces with numbers, leaving the rest of the spaces blank. Here's how numbers are distributed in a 90-ball bingo card: 1st column may have any 3 numbers (or less) from 1-9; 2nd column, any 3 numbers from 10-19; 3rd column, any 3 from 20-29; 4th column, any 3 from 39 to 40, and the pattern continues so that the 9th column has any 3 numbers from 80-90.

75-ball bingo games are a contest of creating a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal pattern. The first to create any such pattern gets the pot money. Other patterns may be played. This includes diamond, cross, and coverall.

In 90-ball bingo, a win is awarded to the first player to complete a row of numbers (or 5 numbers on the same horizontal line. The drawing of numbered balls is continued. The next player to complete any two lines (a total of 10 numbers) wins. The drawing of balled numbers is resumed. The first player to have all fifteen numbers marked wins.

You need to buy your way in to bingo games. Whether it's a 75-ball bingo or a 90-ball bingo game, conventionally you have to purchase a card or cards to get a seat and join the game.
